Dr Kostas Kolomvatsos among the World’s Top 2% Scientists (career-long impact)

Dr. Kostas Kolomvatsos has been included in the Stanford University-Elsevier list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists for career-long impact. The list is compiled by Prof. John P. A. Ioannidis and colleagues at Stanford University, using Scopus data from Elsevier.

The ranking is based on a composite citation indicator (c-score) that combines total citations, the h-index, the co-authorship-adjusted hm-index and citations to papers in different authorship positions. Scientists are grouped into 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields.

In the subfield of Artificial Intelligence & Image Processing, Dr. Kolomvatsos is ranked 10,137th out of 517,648 researchers worldwide, placing him in the top 2% of his subfield.

This recognition reflects many years of research carried out with collaborators, PhD students and colleagues, to whom he expresses his sincere thanks. In total, 56 researchers from the University of Thessaly are included in this year’s list.
